1) Review of my products:
• Does it feel like a real media project?
Yes it does feel like a real media project like the quiet place the transitions used in my trailer are similar to the transitions used in the movie the quiet place the genre of the music used in my trailer is also a similar type of music in the quiet place. I also feel like my Press Pack is professional and looks like a mixture of Home After Dark Pres Pack (Apple) and the Heartstopper (Netflix) i would of liked my poster to look a bit more professional.
I wanted to do something similar to The Shutter Island poster, there seems to be a similarity like in shutter island a man is at the top where as the island is at the bottom in my poster the person is there and the hospital is in the background i would say my poster is not as effective as the shutter island poster due to the background the filter i used and the opacity of the person in my poster Independent Research into Zombie horror (sau21193427.wixsite.com)
2) Audience Response Final Product
The peer assessment and feed back of my film trailer showed i had to cut out some stuff and sync the music and voice over up a lot more so i went back in to the build on the improvements i needed to do
• Compare your production to the ones you looked at in your research (Does it look like a real Film Poster? a film trailer? a website or merchandise?) have you presented it in CONTEXT e.g. On a webpage or in a Mock-up? Have you done what you set out to do?
My production looks like a real film trailer/poster to the ones i looked at in my research i have presented it on both on a wix blog and a press pack webpage here is the link to my press pack this is the front cover of the game i took inspiration from the game fractured mind
Fractured Minds is an immersive artistic short game, exploring anxiety and mental health issues. Embark on a journey through the human psyche to experience the everyday challenges associated with these conditions. Fractured Minds on Steam (steampowered.com)
here you can see my poster my poster the colors i chose symbolizes a sense of phycological torture the image in the background looks disorientated
• Do you have a project that we agreed in your proposal? Look at this again to answer this. Link your proposal and Time plan blogs to this part of the review

• Is the production and planning substantial and does it reflect 12 weeks of work? (Look back at your Time Plan here)
my work reflects 12 weeks of work based on the detail i have put in my press pack, my evaluation, my trailer, and on the work i need to improve and make better i have followed the time plan as best as i can and only have a couple of things i need to do. I also found writing and researching a lot harder than I thought and this took up a lot of me time
• How well did you work within the context of the project? (Time management, organization of work)
I was able to work in the time i was allotted i was able to to film the trailer and was able to edit it and improve on it in time and was able to keep my work organized and was able to work within the context of the project
• How has a Time plan, production schedule and planning documents? helped you in the production of the project? Link up your Planning documents blog. Look back on these to answer this question. On reflection do you need to revise them or be more detailed in future projects?
I need to revise them and also be more detailed in future projects and it would help me to be in a group to keep me on track plus i had a period of sickness for about 2 weeks and i was able to catch up fairly quickly and easily
I have met my deadlines although i did have to change some aspects of the project due to a short deadline such as the classroom scene because we didn't have enough time to film it and put it in the trailer we had to put snippets of the 2 times we shot the classroom scene but in the end i was able to stick to the time plan and was able to complete the filming and editing in time
• How well do you believe your production followed the conventions of your production genre or style? How did your research help you in your project?
We talked about psychological horror for the genre of our trailer so we mainly talked about stuff to do to make it in style with the genre such as mental health issues a little bit of blood and I research into key areas of mental health and terms like effigy, you can access that here https://sau21193427.wixsite.com/my-site-3/post/research-into-our-idea this help me develop ideas for the trailer but less so for the poster. For the poster I struggled with the conventions, but adding Netflix branding definitely helped me make my poster follow convention closer.
3) Problem Solving: discuss alternative ideas and solutions to any problems that came up during the production of the project
One problem that came up during the project was sometimes people didn't come in so we had to have people take 2 or more roles to fill in the gaps another problem that came up was we needed some more students for the classroom scene so we were able to scrounge up some more people for it
The problems we faced were time planning editing and voiceover and sticking to a schedule but we were able to come up with solutions to these problems and were able to move past them. The outside shoots proved difficult so we used the green screen but this wasn't effective as I would have liked it to be.
I have developed problem solving skills due to many problems arising before during and after filming another skill i developed was team skills i was able to work efficiently in a team and was able to keep myself and the others on track. I feel I've ben able to organise my self and I have been committed to doing well.
I was able to work in both a team and a professional way and this has developed my skills in which is very useful in either a level 3 media course or a different course i might partake in also my photoshop skills have widely improve due to never using it before and have learned a lot
4) What would you do differently next time / if you did it again?
I would finish my project a lot quicker and more efficiently and also i would take on more of a leadership role next time to keep people up to date on any changes like if someone calls off sick
• Do you believe you did your production justice? (Think about the issue, story, campaign you wanted to tell)
I believe i did my project justice and that i was able to do all the work i needed to do and was able to complete it to the best of my abilities such as story i was able to tell the story in a way that interested the audience and i was also able to fix any issues along the way in both filming and editing
• Go over your initial project research and discuss what was useful and what helped you improve your production if you could develop the project again what might you do differently?
I was able to learn editing which was useful and helped me improve my production because i was able to add greenscreen to my trailer and was also able to add voiceover i also learned how to use photoshop because before i started using it i had not used it prior so it helped me develop my project by being able to make a detailed poster
For my level 3 course i have developed skills such as editing where i used the greenscreen to add to my trailer and how to use photoshop skills sound effects skills working as a team wix skills coloring skills website skills these all will help me with my level 3 course in something media related
